Hello, and welcome to my Animals in Pastels website. I have been painting animals in pastels since 1990, and it's true what they say; time flies when you’re having fun. It’s been a wonderful journey painting commissioned pet portraits from your favorite photographs over the years. Each year I accept a limited number of new commissioned custom Pastel and Charcoal portraits for my clients from January through May so that you can display the love and bond that you have developed with your animal companions and keep these cherished memories alive for a lifetime.

Although I paint most animals, my first love has always been horses, particularly the Morgan horse and draft horses. In 2010 I included a four part wildlife series of the magnificent big cats. I not only enjoy creating original art through my Charcoal & Pastel paintings but also through my photography.
